Angelina's First Appearance after mastectomy

Angelina Jolie appearance will be the first time she's hit the red carpet since announcing she had a preventative double mastectomy.

She said she discovered she had BRCA1, a "faulty gene" that she said gave her an 87 percent chance of developing breast cancer and a 50 percent chance of developing ovarian cancer.

Jolie praised Pitt in the piece, for his tremendous support as she went through the series of procedures.

"I am fortunate to have a partner, Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive," she wrote in the NYT piece. "Brad was at the Pink Lotus Breast Center, where I was treated, for every minute of the surgeries. We managed to find moments to laugh together. We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer. And it has."
The actress lost her mother, Marcheline Bertrand in 2007 to ovarian cancer. Bertrand's sister, Debbie Martin (who is Jolie's aunt), passed away over the Memorial Day weekend, following a battle with breast cancer.

Martin's funeral is expected to be held on Sunday, her husband, Ron Martin, told that "Angelina will be in London on Sunday so she won't be able to attend but she has been in touch with us and with various other members of the family, which has obviously been lovely and has meant a lot to us," he told the site.

Courteney Cox divorces

Courteney Cox and David Arquette, had been separated for two-and-a-half years but now  divorced has been finalized between these two stars.

A final judgment for their divorce was entered Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to papers obtained by omg!. Cox, 48, and Arquette, 41, cited the usual "irreconcilable differences" as to why they decided to terminate their marriage.

The "Scream" stars announced their separation in October 2010 after 11 years of marriage. Cox and Arquette then filed for divorce on the same day in June 2012, which would have been their 13th wedding anniversary.

In Hollywood terms, Cox and Arquette have had one of the smoothest and most amicable breakups in history. The couple has joint custody of their daughter Coco, 8, and have remained legitimate friends since splitting up.

"I don't recommend divorce in general, but he is my best friend and we've both grown and changed, and I think we both appreciate each other more," Cox said on "The Ellen DeGeneres" show this past January.

Alpacino sells his House

According to property records and the Real state, the Hollywood legend Al Pacino recently sold the home to songwriters Curt and Sabelle Frasca for $3.3 million. The Frascas own Verse Music Group, and Curt Frasca has worked with artists ranging from Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson to Avril Lavigne and the Spice Girls. The couple currently reside in New York City — Pacino’s Hudson River guest house will likely be a new vacation home for them.

As far as a guest house goes, Pacino’s is pretty swanky. Measuring 4,340 square feet, the home has 3 bedrooms and 4 baths and, according to the listing, sits on 3 acres overlooking “the best Hudson River views in New York.”

Built in 1941, the house is traditional, with a grand entry marked by a spiral staircase. The living room leads out to a back patio through french doors, and the master suite includes enormous picture windows.

The Frascas got quite a deal on Pacino’s home. The property was listed for $4.499 million in April 2012, and the purchase price of $3.3 million marks a 26.7 percent discount.

Keira Knightley expenses low

Keira Knightley, who is one of the world's highest paid actresses, leads a pretty frugal life.

According to newly released accounts, the 28-year-old actress paid herself just 30,000 pounds last year even though her firm Kck Boo Ltd earned 1.5 million pounds through her movies and commercial deals.

The details also showed that the Oscar nominated star lowered her spending outside of her salary, too.

A source said that Knightley took home just 20,000 pounds in dividends from the company in 2012 and a salary of just 11,000 pounds.

The insider asserted that her biggest expenditure was 41,000 pounds, which was on security.

The source added that her travel costs amounted to just over 4,000 pounds and she didn't pay for a personal trainer, despite spending almost 1,000 pounds on one the year before.

Ben Affleck Honored Doctorate

Oscar-winning director Ben Affleck donned a traditional cap and gown as he was handed an honorary doctorate from one of America's most prestigious universities.

The 'Argo' director beamed with pride as he was awarded a fine arts degree from Rhode Island's Brown University in recognition of his acting and filmmaking career.

Others who received honorary doctorates were author and MIT Professor Junot Diaz, retired Stanford University bacteriologist Stanley Falkow, Tougaloo College President Beverly Wade Hogan, medical doctor and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation President Risa Lavizzo-Mourey and Miami Dade College President Eduardo Padron.

Hollywood action star Bruce Willis' daughter Scout, by ex-wife Demi Moore, also graduated from the establishment and the actor's wife Emma Heming-Willis took to her Twitter page to applaud her stepdaughter.

Deepika Expresses his feelings for SRK

Deepika Padukone is quit happy to mingle-up with Shah Rukh Khan in 'Chennai Express' after 2007 release 'Om Shanti Om' and says now she can interact with him "more freely" comparative last flick.

The actress got debute  with 'Om Shanti Om', which had SRK in the male lead, and being a newcomer she used to be "nervous and embarrassed" on the set of Farah Khan directorial flick.

Q: Once again You are working with SRK in 'Chennai Express'? What's it like the second time?

A: when we did 'Om Shanti Om', I was a newcomer, nervous and awkward. Today, I can speak to him much more freely. Today, we share a friendly equation. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't get his sense of humour. Shooting with him is a breeze. He lightens the atmosphere and makes everything so easy.

Q: Are you able to face him more confidently this time?

A: Unlike our other film together where there was a large cast, in 'Chennai Express' there is an added pressure because it's a romantic comedy where the focus throughout is on Shah Rukh and me. For two actors to carry off a comedy on their shoulders is not easy. I am glad I've Shah Rukh in 'Chennai Express' to make sure I don't flounder.

Q: Would 'Chennai Express' tap the comic side of you?

A: Yes! If on one hand (filmmaker) Sanjay Leela Bhansali is pushing the boundaries of my abilities as a dramatic actress (in 'Ram Leela'), on the other hand (director) Rohit Shetty too is tapping a side of me that's never been tapped before. I now realize comedy is the most difficult genre of acting and the most difficult kind of cinema to make.

Nicole Kidman is So Hot

Nawazuddin Siddiqui now a days in Cannes Festival, France. He gave an interview to a social website whihc is follwing.

Three of my films, Bombay Talkies, Monsoon Shootout and The Lunchbox are being showcased here. What more can an actor ask for? The Lunchbox has won the Critics Week Viewers Choice Award and Monsoon Shootout also got a good reception. It means a lot for the entire team.

You brought in your 39th birthday at Cannes. How did you party?
Till date, I have never had a birthday party. The midnight screening of my film Monsoon Shootout took place at the Grand Lumiere hall, Palais Cannes on May 18 and we left the hall post 12 am. Around 1 am, a lady came up to me and requested for a photograph.

We clicked a picture together and she told me that it was her birthday today (May 19). I wished her saying that co-incidentally it was my birthday too. My film's team and others around heard it and then sang Happy Birthday right there. It was a very nice feeling.

Did you spend time deciding on your wardrobe for the event?
I directly rushed to Cannes from Kolkata where I was busy shooting for Buddhadeb Dasgupta's upcoming film. I did not find any time to pay much attention to my clothes. My black suit saved the day as it suits most occasions.

In any case, it was a new one and I just packed it for Cannes so my problem was solved. I take five minutes to get ready, a bath included.

However, Tannishtha (Chatterjee) and Nimrat (Kaur) do take a lot of time. Even if you gave them four hours to get dressed, they would find it not enough. (Laughs out loud)

You also sported a conspicuous moustache...
(Laughs) It was not a conscious decision on my part to sport a moustache. It is a part of my look in Buddhadeb's film. I resume shooting immediately after getting back to India. It would have taken a week for me to re-grow it if I had shaved it off. I did not wish to waste time and hence went with it.

Which actress did you think looked the best on the red carpet?
I found Nicole Kidman hot. I have always found her beautiful and seeing her from close quarters was quite special.

Which was your best experience on the red carpet?
It had to be the one for Amit Kumar's film. It was raining when we walked the red carpet and it fitted perfectly with the theme and mood of the film. We could not have asked for more.

How was Indian cinema received this year?
People really rolled out the red carpet for Indian filmmakers and actors. The international media is slowly recognising the fact that we are making different films from the usual masala fare. People gave a lot of compliments to Bombay Talkies, which was quite heart-warming.

Big B is disappointed

Amitabh Bachchan is quite disappointed with the spot-fixing scandals surrounding the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). Nevertheless, he believes it has been an exceptional season.

He was specifically impressed by the huge turnout of cricket aficionados at the Ferozeshah Kotla Grounds in Delhi on Tuesday night.

"Disturbing on all the wrongs that overcome IPL, but exhilarated to see massive turn out at Feroz Shah Kotla for the CSK (Chennai Super Kings) vs MI (Mumbai Indians), despite. This has been an exceptional IPL - competitive, exciting, nerve racking, incredible game play... and still no limits established," Amitabh mentioned on social media.

The renowned actor is so curious to watch of this game.

Sports Was not like that........

Deepika Padukone, daughter of badminton icon Prakash Padukone, says sports was pure and clean during her father’s era. She rues how malpractices such as spot-fixing can give any sport a bad name.

Following news of actor Vindu Dara Singh’s association in the recent spot-fixing scandal of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Deepika says it is sad how because of a few people, several others come in the ambit of doubt.

"It gives a bad name to the sport. It is unfair just because of a few people following this malpractice, you start doubting everybody else. As a country if you want to shine or if you want to be on the same level economically or otherwise (with others), I think it's important that sports people in our country do really well and this (spot-fixing) is not really helping that," Deepika told reporters at an event.

"It's sad. I have grown up in a generation where I have seen my father (play), and sport at that time was so pure and clean. So, to see it go down this route is very disappointing," she added.

Calling the spot-fixing scandal “shameful”, Deepika’s 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' co-star Ranbir Kapoor said: “IPL has become such a great entertaining platform for the world right now and when such things crop up - like people playing dirty, it's unfortunate.”

“There is no justification to it and I hope people who are concerned in this mischief should be punished. It is not fair to the people who are playing the sport with the right intention,” he added.

YJHD has an ethics

Ranbir Kapoor has said about 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' (YJHD), being asked as "unethical", and these films are made to entertain people, not to spoil the society.

"I don't see anything unethical about the movie. It is purely entertainment. We do not make any film to spoil the society," Kapoor told media persons at a promotional event for 'YJHD'.

It has been produced by Dharma Production and Directed by Ayan Mukherjee.

Ranbir, the grandson of the legendary Raj Kapoor, explained that though the movie is youth-oriented, it is not meant to influence youngsters in a negative way.

"It is not meant to spoil the youngsters, but it is fully entertaining and is meant for them. The story is about four youngsters, their journey in life, their ambition, their first love and their first heartbreak," said the actor.

'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', is getting released on May 31, with the stars of Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin and Sidharth Roy Kapoor.
